Tristin's 1st Grade Program

The whole first grade class performed at a recent PTA meeting. Isn't he cute?

Why am I tortured everyday?!?

I am not amused by this. I am already smarter than my whole family.

So far, Ben's favorite holiday is Easter

Ben wanted to try out his new Easter hat. It took some getting used to.

I'm nine pounds of full grown baby.

Beat the hell outta t u

Tristin looks tough in this picture...

except for the orange life preserver. This is what he gets to wear when he leaves his life jacket in the truck at the boat ramp.

Tummy Time

Evidently, "tummy time" is important for a young baby. Although I never really asked, I believe it is when babies are introduced to push-ups. Melissa mentioned, "We had some 'tummy time' today." I went along as if I knew what that was. Then, I searched all the baby magazines on top of the stack assuming I would find a definition/article. No luck. Therefore, I'll stick with my assumption. Ben seemed to have the same reaction to "tummy time" as he does with all his daily chores.
The pictures are in order of occurrence.

Big Brother Cousin

The Duck Whisperers

Fossil Rim

We decided to spend some Spring Break fun time at Fossil Rim Wildlife Center. It was exactly like being on an African safari. Except not all the animals are native to Africa. And the cheetahs and wolves are in cages. And we were surrounded by other families in SUVs. And I don't think the African plains have a gift shop at the "half way" point. Seriously, it was fun. I recommend it to children of all generations. They had the biggest chickens we've ever seen.

First Bath

After 9 days of existence, we decided to have a bath. It was nice. Ben handled it in his usual fashion... squirming and squeaking. Over all, he really enjoyed it. Afterwards, he celebrated this achievement by eating and falling asleep.

Baby Cletus has Arrived!!!!

But we named him Ben instead of Cletus. Charles Benoit "Ben" Carruthers was born on Sunday Feb 26, 2006 at 11:00 am on the dot. He weighed 7 lbs 6 oz and is doing fine. Momma is doing well, also. Tristin is looking forward to teaching him all the stuff little boys need to know. We thank everyone for the kind visits and gifts.
